University of Nairobi delegation
visited WMU October 1 to 6

Professor Kenneth Muema Mavuti, associate professor of hydrobiology and director of International Programs and Links, and Dr. John Onyari, professor of chemistry, from the University of Nairobi visited campus the week of October 1. The main purpose of their visit was to discuss possible collaboration in biodiesel research and development projects.

Nairobi delegation itinerary

The Nairobi professors met with the Bronco Biodiesel team (Dr. Steve Bertman, Dr. Sarah Hill, Dr. John Miller), as well as several departments in the sciences, engineering, aviation, and health and human services. 

WMU currently has 30 students from Kenya on our campus, several of whom are studying in the sciences at the Ph.D. level.
