Housing Options at WMU: On-campusWhen it comes to finding somewhere to live while carrying on your studies at Western, there exists a plethora of options depending on your needs, taste, preference and budget. The Office of Residence Life at WMU offers on-campus living options that help students adjust to the many challenges associated with being a busy college student. The dedicated staff are on hand to help with the transition to college life while maintaining purposefully structured environments for social and academic success. With 19 residence halls, each offering something unique, but all nurturing vivrant and exciting communities for learning, growth and success, the halls are more than a place to stay. Many students will agree that for a student that wants to make friends and be involved in campus activities and events, living in one of the residence halls is a must. With over 5000 other students, all sharing a similar love for creating friendships and nurturing diversity, living on campus offers an oppurtunity to participate in campus activities, develop leadership skills and get a head start in school. WMU Dining Services offers great food and lots of variety at their five residence hall dining rooms. The dining rooms are located within residence hall complexes. All dining rooms are open 7 days a week, allowing students full access to meals and snacks. Students with meal plans may eat at any residence hall dining room location they choose, at any time throughout the day. All dining rooms are self-serve, so students may help themselves to just the right amount of any food or beverage offered when in the dining room.
