More than 500 WMU students participate annually in study abroad programs in 35-plus countries. Programs are available for undergraduates and graduates in a broad spectrum of disciplines for an academic year, one semester, or short-term summer programs. Language-intensive study abroad programs are offered in Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Russian and Spanish. Students may also choose from thousands of programs offered through other universities and study abroad organizations. Please see the information on Non-WMU Programs. The Haenicke Institute study abroad staff also assist students in applying for international internships and provides support to students wishing to conduct international field study or to perform international service.
