Upcoming information sessions
Focus on Health Care--Nov. 25 and Dec. 4
Two information sessions are being offered for students who may be interested in Dr. Mary Lagerwey’s study abroad program in Utrecht, the Netherlands during summer II 2014. Both sessions will offer the same information, so interested students may choose the session most convenient for their schedule.
The first information session will be held on Monday, Nov. 25 from 1-2:30 p.m. in Room 4267 of the College of Health and Human Services. The second info session is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. the College of Health and Human Services Atrium. The program dates are July 4 to July 19, 2014; it offers instruction in English and is especially appropriate for students studying health care or human performance and health education. Latin American Economies--Nov. 20
An information session about Dr. Susan Pozo’s study abroad program in Uruguay and Argentina in spring 2014 will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, in 2302 Friedmann Hall. The program dates are April 27 to May 18, 2014; it offers instruction in English and is especially appropriate for students majoring or minoring in economics or business. Program brochure
More than 500 WMU students participate in study abroad each year, traveling the world, learning new languages, eating new foods, listening to new music and gaining life-changing experiences that richly enhance their degree programs.
The WMU study abroad fair is your one-stopdestination for learning about the more than 70 programs WMU offers in 30-plus countries—we have programs suitable for all majors and minors, undergraduate or graduate. Scholarships are available.
Participants will have the opportunity to speak with study abroad alumni, program faculty directors, and representatives from non-WMU study abroad providers and visit informational tables organized by country/geographical region.Staff from WMU Financial Aid will be available to answer questions about funding.
The fair is open to all free of charge.Free pizza and pop will be served and there will be a bunch of giveaways.
