A new website has been launched by the Diether H. Haenicke Institute for Global Education in Western Michigan University's new web environment. Record crowd for 24th International Festival

Record crowd turns out to learn about world
cultures at International Festival 2013

More than 4,000 people turned out to experience the music, dance, food and fashions of cultures from around the world featured during Western Michigan University's 24th annual International Festival on Sunday, March 24. Sixteen international student organizations rallied hundreds of volunteers to present cultural display tables and native foods for sampling, as well as staged performances.

Awards were presented for Outstanding Student Organization based on the overall quality of the organization's presentations and participation, as follows:

First place:       Dominican Student Organization
Second place:   Association of Chinese Students/Scholars
Third place:      Malaysian Student Organization
