Jennifer C. Wenger Memorial Study/Work Abroad Fund Download the application The Haenicke Institute for Global Education is pleased to announce that the JENNIFER C. WENGER MEMORIAL STUDY/WORK ABROAD FUND is to assist students enrolled full time in a study or work abroad program in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland). The criteria that will be considered in selecting a student for the award are: - Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a study or work abroad program in the United Kingdom. Preference given to female students.
- The recipient must be employed part-time as evidence of their commitment to assisting with the costs of higher education.
- Preference will be given to students in the following areas of academic study in the following order of priority:
- Anthropology major or sociology major, with a focus on women's studies.
- Woman's studies major or minor with any academic discipline.
- Any academic major.
- Must be in good academic standing:
- Minimum of 2.5 GPA
- Completed at least 20 credit hours at WMU
- Students participating in the BUNAC work abroad program are also eligible.
Recipients will be selected by staff of WMU Study Abroad. Awards will be based on a completed application form, GPA and financial need. An interview may be required.
