Homeland pride shines at Parade of Nations
 The International Programs Council is seeking flag bearers for the Parade of Nations that is conducted prior to WMU’s Homecoming football game each fall. The parade is made up of students, faculty and staff carrying a flag from countries all over the world and will be held this year at WMU’s Homecoming football game on October 4.
Participants must sign up to participate and may request to carry a specific country’s flag. Sign up at the International Programming Office in 2501 Ellsworth Hall, or write stephen.j.wood@wmich.edu, or rose.godsey@wmich.edu
The parade will be staged from the International Program Council’s tailgate party. The tailgate party begins at 10:45 a.m. at Kanley Track. There will be free food and games at the tailgate party and no reservations are required. Parade flag bearers should plan to arrive at the tailgate party no later than 1 p.m. to receive their flag and line up for the parade. or more information, call (269) 387-5872.
