BUDGET ANALYST SENIOR 

General Summary:
Responsible for planning, allocating, and managing budget and accounting functions for assigned units within a division or department.

Major Duties:
• Plans, allocates and manages budget and accounting functions for assigned units. Ensures fiscal integrity of assigned budgets and procedures through periodic audits and reviews.
• Works with department/unit directors and others to assess budgetary needs and guide through budgetary process; may make budgetary recommendations.
• Serves as principal fiscal liaison with University and external entities.
• Develops and monitors budgets, projects expenditures, reconciles accounts, and researches and resolves discrepancies. 
• Researches and provides financial analysis on issues with financial implications;  interprets, recommends and develops policies and procedures. 
• Creates and maintains financial records, reports, and databases. 
• Creates, evaluates, generates and/or manages contracts and agreements, such as leases and vendor bids. May track, collect, and deposit rent and fees.
• Coordinates or participates on various committees and projects.
• May administer billings.
• May train and supervise staff.
