General Summary

Establishes direction and oversees all aspects of international student activities and programs.

 

  • Major Duties

    • Establishes direction and oversees all aspects of international student activities and programs including development, implementation and monitoring.
    • Supervises students and graduate student workers.
    • Directs the administration of international student orientation programs.
    • Designs and implements cross-cultural, leadership, and team building training for orientation leaders and staff.
    • Develops and oversees programming budget. Reviews and authorizes financial allocation for all International Registered Student Organizations.
    • Performs other outreach duties as assigned, including occasional international travel.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in counseling or relevant field.
    • Experience working with international student groups and issues.
    • Familiarity with student activities procedures.
    • Ability to travel outside of the United States.
  • Desired Qualifications

    • Foreign language skills.
    • Familiarity with theories and practices of cross-cultural programming.
