South Haven sand and sun fun on June 21 The International Programs Council is planning a trip to South Haven, a scenic Lake Michigan beach town, on Saturday, June 21. The trip is open to all international students, and is family-friendly. Students are encouraged to bring family members along.
Several important guidelines must be considered in regards to children: - Children younger than 4 years of age must have proper seating
- Children may sit on parents' laps if they are old enough not to require special seating
- Children who use baby seats in cars should have them on the bus
- If you already own one, please bring your own child seats. There will be seat belts on the bus to strap them in.
Students may sign up for the trip at the front desk of International Services and Student Affairs on the 4th floor of Ellsworth Hall. Cost is $10/person, or $5 for any child who sits on their parent's lap and payment is required at sign-up. The sign-up forms will inquire what number of children you are bringing, as well as whether you are able to provide your own child-seat(s). The cut-off time for sign-ups is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13th.
The group leaves the Bernhard Center at 10 a.m. and returns to Kalamazoo at 5 p.m. There will be opportunities to swim, bask in the sun, play on the beaches, shop in downtown South Haven, and entertain various other activities. We hope you and your family will take part in this adventure to explore Michigan's beauty! Read more about South Haven
