WMU represented at 2011 World University Confucius Institute

WMU President John M. Dunn and Dr. Timothy Light, WMU professor emeritus of comparative religion and former University provost, represented the University at the 2011 World University Confucious Institute held Oct. 20-21 in Milan, Italy.

Dunn had a chance to renew his friendship with Professor Lujiang Wang, chair of the University Council of Beijing Language and Culture University (see photo). They first met when Wang visited WMU for its Confucius Institute grand opening two years ago.

Both Dunn and Light (at right), an internationally renowned Sinologist, took part in conference panels, and Dunn made a presentation on WMU's Confucius Institute accomplishments to date. The Beijing Language and Culture University is WMU's formal partner in that initiative.
