The College of Health and Human Services presents the final installment in the three part series "Global gender-based health care for women" entitled "Hands on: model projects at work in Africa," a panel discussion moderated by Emma N. Andrews, PharmD, Pfizer, New York City.
Panelists will include Dr. Harshad Sanghvi, M.D., Vice President of Technical Leadership and Medical Director, JHPIEGO, Baltimore, and Mr. Gannon Gillespie, Director of U.S. Operations, Tostan, Washington, D.C.
JHPIEGO is an international health organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University. For 35 years JHPIEGO has designed and implemented strategies to strengthen delivery of health care services for women and their families.
The Tostan is an international health organization whose "Community Empowerment Program" has been considered the "best practice" by the World Health Organization, UNICEF and other international health and aid organizations.
The event will be held in CHHS building room 2010, and will provide an opportunity for questions and discussion.
